Viva States
Each viva on your dashboard shows a colored state indicating its status and what you can do next.
BEGIN
Available and ready to start. Click to begin.
RESUME
Started but not finished. Your progress is saved. Click to continue where you left off.
LATE
Past due date but within grace period (typically 24 hours).
OVERDUE
Past grace period. Still available for practice but won't be submitted,
COMPLETED
Submitted successfully.
GRADED
Review complete.
LOCKED
Not yet available. Either the publish date hasn't arrived, a prerequisite isn't met, or it hasn't released yet.
Special Cases
Re-do Granted
If your instructor grants a re-do, the state resets to "Begin". Your previous submission is archived (not deleted), and you get a fresh attempt.
Extension Granted
If your instructor grants an extension, your personal due date changes. The late window starts from your new deadline.
Verification Request
If you receive a verification viva (separate from class assignments), you'll get an email notification. It appears as a separate item on your dashboard.
